Cool + Chill

A pretty dang cool and chill person. Quite a few times I've seen redgreenvines calmly dismissing nonsense like anti-mask propaganda, and adding chillness to a thread, and I appreciate that.

"here is a fresh take
maybe the drug or the meditation increases resonance
then the attitude rules.
once can cultivate an attitude that does not latch on
and by not latching on while maintaining interest and attention
and being "oh so resonant"
something wonderfully ambiguous takes over, yet it is not a thing.
the resonance is a thing
the euphoria is a thing
the direction towards letting go is a thing
but the ongoing moment in which ambiguity and identity make a yin yang source of joy while latching on to no-thing is emptiness."

what you said above is great i feel
really nice quote!

it is a bad typo.

This user has a good vocab at least when it comes to mushrooms and other psychs. This makes for a very straight forward responses that I can pass on to others.

Thank for giving back to this community. We appreciate it!

I try to be consistent (my habit/ego) but also to look at the problem as it is unfolding (the unexpected stuff between the frames).

Psychology

RGV has no need of more good ratings but let me add another one anyway.

In my opinion the best psychologist of the shroomery; always gets down to the core of the issue.
I found this old post and I really liked it - gave a perspective on my thread I hadn't thought of, and I don't think I truly appreciated the opinion at the time, but looking back I do now.

mental illness is usually chronic.
which means it needs regular sessions.
a single magical pass does not compete with the years of revisiting trauma.

no single method in the world works against a lifetime of habitual aching. it is a lot of work, for both the therapist and patient.

the key aspect of mental formations both healthy and unhealthy is habit, as impressions are revisited they become stronger.
what are you going to do about that?

that is the whole of the law, not aleister crowley.
habit comprehension and habit modulation.
get that and you master all real magic.

At first I kind of glossed over them, as they seemed like random mumblings.
But then I started really reading them and realized they make a lot of sense (most of the time ).

Salvia knowledge
08/13/13 09:39 PM

I love your posts on salvia man, you truly understand the divine plant unlike most others. Specifically this post you really helped confirm how I felt when smoking weed after salvia. How everything takes you to the other side, its all the same every substance. That's how I interpreted it at least.
"with weed you reach the other side, but are carried along gently with enriched sensations.
with lsd you are introduced to the wide open spaces on the other side -coming away with integration or loss - depending
with salvia you are strenuously jerked to the other side and then suddenly removed back to ordinariness that is possibly forever suspicious.

the other side is close, salvia makes that patently clear.
after salvia or lsd, weed may not seem so gentle to you, because you recognize that it is the same other side, other place, place of many places...

the memories kick in, and so having been there so widely (from lsd) or so suddenly (from salvia) the gentle weed excursions associate with memories of those other excursions.

note: emotions and dreams go to the same otherside - so some people at the first taste of weed may  suffer intense recollections of emotional trips or dreamscapes. "
