Re: Re: Cultivation General Discussion
Two well known members were having a fight. AtmozFear had no dog in the fight, but he picked a guy (in fact the one who wasn't being an asshole) to heap curses and abuse on. Not good behavior.

Re: Re: Spanish couple arrested over toad-venom and ayahuasca rituals
I don't usually have patience for online arguments (even if I started them), but GenericHero's style is polite and witty.

Re: Re: searched many posts, none like mine. mold and weird crystal things. safe to eat?
Post was a good read, and explained clearly why stipes are not like trunks/stems/whatever. Excerpt:
half.fast said: If you look at [plant] cross sections of these structures under a microscope you'll find that the cells have differentiated into many different types, making it easy to tell what you're looking at without any help. Roots look like roots, stems look like stems, leaves look like leaves, etc.
Basidomycetes (our mushroom producing fungal friends), can grow below the surface (in soil, or wood, etc.) or, when mushrooms are produced, above ground, too. If you take some of the bits growing below the surface and compare them microscopically to the bits growing above the surface as a mushroom, do you know what you'll see? You'll see exactly the same thing

Since this user deletes their posts after getting an answer, nobody else benefits from reading the question/answer.

Rude "Please spoon feed me info" comments really test my patience, but Crackatoa was nice.
