A great member of the community. Spindlymass sent me a nice culture wedge with known solid provenance, professionally prepared, well packed, and shipped fast internationally. I'll keep you updated, and we have to trade again at some point. Spindlymass responded on 07/15/19 10:30 AM: |

Nobody has influenced my mush cult style more than Violet. Her work represents years of thoughtful practice and is worth several close readings. The basic wisdom of her culturing tek is ruthlessly elegant. If it doesn't blow your mind and inspire you to achieve greater things, someone probably forgot to replace the fuse in your head. Don't mind the verbosity or argue over details. You're not forced at gunpoint to buy grass seed. Just learn, practice, and adapt her methods to suit your needs. Write your own teks instead of ruining hers. I rarely leave general ratings, but few people have given so much to this community and got nothing but bullshit in return.

I got to know fishermansjc in a discussion of cryovials. We swapped cultures a couple of times since then. If you're looking for the real deal, he's right here. A great person to learn from. |

I didn't participate in this giveaway, but it's such a great idea that it warrants a general rating: spore prints for charity donations. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Adden hosted an exotic spore print giveaway and sent the prints in thoughtful, hand-addressed note cards. Thanks a bunch, man! |

Everything about mistamonsta's letter made me smile, from the awkward sovereign on the stamp, to the inscription in the birthday card, to the fact that one of the spore prints had circumnavigated the globe. What a fun piece of myco mail! Thanks for everything, man. |

Solipsis hosted a fun contest for a variety of spore prints. Mine arrived quickly and safely between an advertisement for a nice Baroque concert. Dank je wel!

3B3B4E offered me exotic spore prints for a few gourmet cultures. I asked him to pay it forward instead, and he hosted a print giveaway before I could even mail the wedges! This is a general rating because I didn't participate in the giveaway. He's a real stand-up dude, please ignore the trolls. |

It's good to see another urban cultivator pushing the bounds of the hobby. We traded some gourmet cultures, and as an extra, myceliups sent one of my favorite mushrooms I never knew existed. I'll be following your journal closely. Thanks, man! |

Sixfix sent two wonderful cultures in the wedge swap. Everything about them was higher-order work: the labelling, the packaging, and the wedges themselves. Thanks a bunch! |

My first international trade with flyontoast went well. He packed the wedges safely for a long journey, and he sent one of my most desired species as an extra surprise. Thanks a ton, man! |

A great guy who merits a lot of respect, leschamps has been following up on trades despite a chaotic cult/life balance. He even sent a few extras. I can't wait to work with more native species. Thanks! ![]() Update: Another great trade with one of my favorite members. He sent a wedge very quickly and as professionally as ever. Thanks again! Last Edited 01/19/18 12:36 PM |

Trading with one of your favorite old hands is almost like meeting a celebrity. Morelman was kind enough to send me one of my favorite gourmet cultures in exchange for a spore print. I can't wait to work with it. Thanks a bunch! |

AyePlus just missed a gourmet wedge giveaway. His recipe was so good that I had to include him, though there was a slight delay on my end. I was pleasantly surprised when he offered, unbidden, a couple of cultures in exchange for the gesture. They arrived quickly and packaged well. Thanks a bunch! Update: Please consider this a 10/5 rating, as it reflects another smooth trade with a real stand-up dude. AyePlus had claimed my polypores in the wedge swap, and offered again to send me something in return, simply out of kindness and generosity. I can't wait to see more updates, the things you're doing with your newly built flow hood, as well as your upcoming log grow.

After just missing a gourmet LC giveaway, hamloaf reached out with a wonderful surprise for my inbox and PO box. A generous and professional guy with smart teks and lots of good advice. Thanks again! Update: Two great giveaways in a week, hamloaf gets busy! I'm unable to leave a second trade rating, so please consider this one a 10/5 rating. He distributed spores carrying a rather rare genetic mutation, and in the process gave each of the recipients an important task. Last Edited 04/28/17 11:58 AM |

I love Sara! She sent a surprising variety of spore prints with reference quality photo inserts. A skilled and elegant hand who inspires me to do good and practice photography. Thanks!
