Hi there,

I've been growing peyote for about 20 years and while I  dont profess to be an expert I have some suggestions for you:

1. Plant your lophs individually just in case you overwater them, that way if they get rot you wont lose them all.
2. Use a Trichocereus (such as panachoi) species for grafting, your grafts will live longer on more robust root stock. Also tricocerus species are less likely to cause splitting or suffer from lack of watering.
3. For detailed information on grafting pm me and I'll send you information
4. Make sure you use clean equipment when you graft- see if you can get hold of some isopropyl acohol, use a clean old-fashioned style razor blade and afix the lophs with ladies stocking or use surgical tape.
5. Cover your grafted plants with plastic bags and keep in high humidity and fairly low light conditions for ay least a week after grafting.
6. Cut you lophophora well above the root line but below the sunken growth point.
7. Do not  water the root part of the loph until the top of the cut plant has dried/ calloused
8 Try with one plant for starters, when you see that it growing you can risk grafting the next.
9. Typically the root part of the loph will regrow, your smaller plants appears to be at least a year or two old, I have grafted plants as young as two three months without losing either part
Check out this link care of loph- it's not comprehensive but might be useful: http://www.crazycacti.co.uk/Table/Lophophora/menu-id-2.html

Lastly - consider not grafting at all- plants on their own roots are so much nicer!

Good luck.

If it weren't for that, I would probably not be a musician.
