pvc_n_cpvc.jpg
Notice how the 1/2" CPVC (hot-water rated) fits inside the 1/2" SCH 40 PVC? This allows me to create several interchangeable hook-ups for the hoses....

shadedpoleblower.jpg
Look for a blower is rated for about 25CFM @ 0.5" Static Pressure to prevent the motor from burning out under the "back-pressure" inside the barre...

|
variablespeedfancont...
This type of variable speed controller works with shaded pole blowers only. Make sure to match yours to your motor type or you could create a fire!!

Keeps the water in the humidifier between 76-80(F) which helps reduce condensation within your environment.

ultrasonic_fogger.jp...
This is a three-transducer model ultrasonic fogger purchased from www.mainlandmart.com . Make sure to buy an extra set of disks and the float as well

timer_cycle.jpg
Model #IGS-011 - This is a precision "cycle" timer and is *NOT* the same as a cheap lamp-timer. They cost more but have the precision scale needed....

bulk_humidifier_14.j...
The humidifer in full operation - this unit could power an entire 10'x10' room or several enclosed mini-greenhouses at once...
|
|
bulk_humidifier_13.j...
Once the ultrasonic fogger gets started it produces a "dry" mist of 100% RH - somewhat of an oxymoron, i know...

bulk_humidifier_12.j...
Using an aquarium pump rated for 60+ gallons you can see how vigorously it agitates/bubbles the water in the drum...
|
|
bulk_humidifier_11.j...
With the unit off you can see both the air-bubbler (for constant humidity) and the ultra-sonic fogger (for pulsing the humidity up to the target zone)

bulk_humidifier_10.j...
The side view shows how, using the two 22° elbows I gained the length to allow the blower to gently rest on the edge of the drum's lid...

|
bulk_humidifier_09.j...
This picture shows the blower attached using a "reducing" rubber repair boot that goes from 2" to 1.5" ensuring a tight fit without using adhesive...

|
bulk_humidifier_08.j...
Notice how the intake port is longer than the exhaust ports... This allows the fan to blow deeper into the bucket, stirring up more humid air.
|
|
bulk_humidifier_07.j...
I used two 22° street elbows instead of one 45° street elbow to give proper spacing for the blower fan. Take your time, try several approaches first.
|
|
bulk_humidifier_06.j...
Everything is dry fit first, several times, to ensure alignment and feasibility... The plumbing used for the intake are two 22° 1.5" street elbows.
|
|
bulk_humidifier_05.j...
The intake hole was cut by a 2" plug saw drill bit. This will accept the 1.5" plumping that makes up the blower fan's intake port...

Here you see the two 1/2" ball-vales and the 1.5" spaces (w/ adapters) that will be glued on from the bottom holding the valves tightly in place...
