Hey folks. I was inspired last year by the presentation here - https://www.shroomery.org/forum I found them to be rather tasteless fresh and uncooked- mostly tasting like nothing and water. I was curious how much flavor may be imparted on them. We settled on something dead simple... mushroom topped steak. For the mushrooms, all we did was saute them in butter for a few minutes over medium-high heat. We cut off the stems so the caps could cook lay flat pan. We served them on top of the steak, and poured the remaining butter over the top. I suspect the mushrooms picked up some of the salt from the top of the steak. All-in-all, absolutely delicious. Slight caramelization + butter + salt for the win. Highly recommended and would love to hear other's experience cooking with magic! Edited by sfmycoman (01/15/24 09:32 AM)
