I tripped last night. The last time I tripped before that was a week earlier. One week is by far the shortest time I've ever gone between trips. For my trip last night, I made a tea out of three dried grams with some lemon juice to help with the extraction. I was expecting a psilocybin body-slam, but the effect seemed to be considerably less than last week, when I ate about the same amount straight (no tea). I realize there are a lot of factors here--variability of potency, mindset, the possibility that some actives were lost in the tea-making process, etc.--but I wonder if tolerance could have played a role. Everything I've read on the subject indicates that three days is as long as you need to go between trips to make sure your tolerance is at zero. What are your opinions, based on your own experiences? -------------------- In a study from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine last month, scientists found that a single dose of psilocybin, which is the drug in mushrooms, created a quote 'long-term positive personality change in most patients.' People improved in the areas of sensitivity, imagination, and broad-minded tolerance of others. In pharmaceutical speak, psilocybin is known as an asshole inhibitor. --Bill Maher
