a question using spawn bags, and mono tube ??
      08/12/06 11:08 PM

ive got 6 large spawn bags showing growth right now. there are only 5 days old, and i have yet to mix them up to even out growth rate.
i plan to grow in a mono tub, and i have read somewhere that after i give it its first little mix i can place the bag in the tub i plan to grow in, so that they are all formed, and i dont have to crumble up the substrate to get it to be level in my tub. i wonder if i go ahead and do that then why not just leave the colonized bags right in the tub, and just cut off the tops of the bag when it is time to case. i know this will not allow the myc from each bag to form together, and become stronger, but is that really a big deal. the way im seeing it the bags are already of descent size, and it will cut out a lot of manhandling of the myc.

any thoughts??
