If curiosity is what's driving you, then of course you want to do it. Will it work for laminar flow? How would we know unless someone is brave enough to risk failing for the sake of satisfying curiosity. What you need, is to equalize the pressure inside the box before it hits the HEPA filter. You then want this equalized pressure flowing (laminar flow) through the HEPA filter at a rate of about 300 CFM (if I remember correctly. Double check my number, please). Get a particle reader to see if it's working. Check to see if you have laminar flow with a cigarette lighter. I hope you succeed, but I do not believe that you will get the CFM of air movement that you need to succeed with that sort of motor, but you do do, and see for yourself.
