Quote: For sure. Part of the reason I opened with Grof's work is that it's more grounded in modern psychology. Analayo's stuff is fascinating though, and I find the Buddhist cosmological model of psychology helpful for noticing when my mind has strayed into aversion/anger (hell realm), attachment/sensual desire (hungry ghosts), or delusion/ignorance (animal realm). And his meditation techniques offer antidotes that help me stay balanced. I find these perspectives and practices helpful while sober, but also while exploring psychedelics. -------------------- Listen to the silence behind the engines' noise. Jesus, Sweets, listen. Hear it? It's a love song. For whom? You are loved. ~ David Foster Wallace, Westward the Course of Empire Takes Its Way Edited by tree frog (01/21/24 12:21 PM)
