I was reading up on the CIA, I mainly wanted to find out whether they shifted responsibility and answered questions evasively regarding their involvement in a host of unethical activities, one being torture, which they euphemistically refer to as, "enhanced interrogation techniques". The stuff I accidentally turned up was about Gina Haspel, she was the director of CIA for a few years. Link: https://www.justsecurity.org/56 You can also find out more about her on wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G I found evidence of evasive behaviors in the first link. Honestly I have to say I was really repulsed. The CIA is supposed to be one of the nation's top intelligence agencies, the moral character of their operatives and certainly the director, should be beyond reproach. Yet look at the kinds of things she gave as "answers". I really hope for Americans that the article in the first link was just a hit piece and it was all made up. Otherwise the truth is almost too harsh to bear. What do you think?
