I've recently been trying to revive some of my spore collection. The spores range from 17 years old to 8 years old. I've had no success with germination of the 15 year old stuntzii spores and I'm down to my last two F1 print from my 2008/2009 indoor grow. I decided to check them out under a scope now that I have received my new scope. Here are what they look like after 15 years of storage on foil, stored in a zip lock type baggie at room temp. Microscopy done at 1000x (25x by 40x) * waiting on my Cargille Oil to arrive to use the 100x objective I was expecting them all to look like the one that is ruptured, but was surprised to see that most look completely normal. These spores were hydrated for 3 weeks in a solution of distilled water with 1.8mg of disodium adenosine triphoshate per ml with a tiny bit of jet-dry. Scope used is a WJTQTBT W-120, which is a rebranded Amscope B-120. -------------------- Message me for free microscopy services on Psilocybe, Panaeolus, and Gymnopilus species. Looking for wild Panaeolus cinctulus and Panaeolus olivaceus prints.
