Hello everyone, I'm looking for advice on turning my knowledge in cultivation and mycology into a legal source of income. Recently, I unexpectedly lost my job during the slow winter season. Oddly, I received an appreciation award just a week before, with no explanation given for my sudden termination. Undeterred, I've been vocal about my desire to start a business for quite some time. Due to the circumstances we are facing, she has encouraged me to see this as an opportunity. I've been involved in cultivation for a long time. When I was much younger [and dumber] I launched a website offering mycology and cultivation education, tools, ethnobotanical herbs, [etc.] but it didn't end well to say the least. I am now free, have relocated, and eager to give entrepreneurship another opportunity. Does anyone here have suggestions or experience in making a legitimate living through their passion and knowledge of mycology? A few ideas I have thought of: 1. Move to Oregon or Mass and build a network, 2. Cultivate gourmet mushrooms and sell them to local restaurants, 3. Start a supplement company; Sell kratom, kava, Aminita Muscaria, CBD, etc 4. Cultivate Aminita Muscaria mycelium and sell chocolate bars or gummies. Thank you very much in advance, and I appologize if this seems weird. I am just very concerned for my families future, and as a man, I seek to succeed and those around me really believe I can do something great... But I know that their is great wisdom in the counsel of many. -Spicy
