Found this on a hike today. Looks to me like a possible gymnopilus variety. It was growing out of the base of an oak tree in the east bay hills. I haven't made a spore print yet but will try to update later. Gymns aren't something I have found yet, so I am not too confident in my identification. Thanks in advance!
