Also: Edge: nobody forces you to use it. It can simply be ignored. Defender: is pretty darn effective and unobtrusive. It was a great move to include it. Forced updates: they're not so much forced, as unobtrusive in the background and optimized to not interrupt work. While updates used to be annoying back in XP days, they're trouble-free these days. And of course essential for security reasons. Bloatware: don't blame Windows for the habit of OEMs to fill up your machine with their 3rd party stuff. Simply remove it, which is easy as pie, or if you can't be bothered, do a fresh install. Spyware: don't install it...also, experience tracking is not the same as spying. It's a normal and healthy part of quality assurance in the software world. If so desired, legacy files accruing from past updates can be periodically removed to free up 'precious' disk space. For those who have a problem with Microsoft as such, there's always Apple or Linux.
