Quote: hey, it's totally understandable to feel overwhelmed when choosing a degree/career path. i'm an older dude. prior to school, i was in construction as a CAD drafter. i had no clue what i wanted to do when i started college in my 30s. i am bad at math and lock up with tests. but i love to write, and i love history, politics, religion, ethics, and really just any big idea about the world. I also love to work with technology and teach people. i earned a BA in philosophy and went on to earn an MS in learning science. i work in corporate learning & development. great field. really good pay. it was totally worth it. my liberal arts training was a huge reason why i made it through grad school. i saw a lot of people struggling who were not used to working with really technical reading and writing. it also gave me a much deeper understanding of the world, and helped me form my own views - don't ever let anyone tell you that's worthless. it's a journey. don't give up. follow your interests and the rest will follow from there! -------------------- I'm up to my ears in unwritten words. - J.D.
