Hello, I write about cybersecurity, and I'm posting this request in the extremely unlikely chance that I can locate individuals working in cybersecurity for a piece I'm writing on how security clearances bar the use of hallucinogens. The context for my piece is that, as the growing body of evidence shows, hallucinogens can be beneficial to mental health. Yet, a major class of workers, namely cybersecurity professionals, place their careers in jeopardy if they pursue this therapeutic avenue because so many rely on federal security clearances. Either that or they take risks to gain the benefits of hallucinogens. The situation is changing slightly for cannabis, for example, which has become legalized in certain states, with some federal officials indicating that cannabis use won't block cybersecurity workers' clearance so long as users haven't partaken of cannabis for a year. I would like to speak to any cybersecurity professionals, anonymized, for my piece about what they think of this ban and whether hallucinogens have assisted them in their work. Please message me and I will supply secure contact information for further details. Thank you.
