I've been working as a freelance writer for a few months now through entry-level sites like TextBroker and ECopyWriters, but I wanted to set up a blog or three and start using them as a source of trickle-down cashflow and writing exercise. I've got two ideas right now, and even have some posts already written for one of them. I wanted to kinda read up on it so I make fewer mistakes while trying to monetize my blog. I understand this isn't going to be lucrative (freelance writing isn't, usually) but I read that a blog is a great way to get your name out there while you're trying to build a reputation, and it'll give me some writing samples to send off to potential clients and employers. Are there any good books on blogging I should know about? I was look at the Blogging For Dummies book, as well as Wordpress for Dummies, they seem to have fairly high reviews on Amazon, but I'm open to almost any suggestions. At the same time, if anyone here runs a monetized (or even an ad-free) blog that gets readers regularly, lemme know either in this thread or in a PM. I'd like to hear whatever tips you have for me. --------------------
