Hi all, A few months ago I stopped growing because I was discouraged from the amount of contamination i was suffering from. Since then I have expanded my space, created a semi-sterile environment, and built a laminar flow hood. I have started the process back up again, with seemingly great results, but I have a quick question regarding the substrate I will be spawning to... Back when i was growing before (probably July 2009) I had prepared and pasteurized a mix of coir, hpoo, verm, etc. Apparently the hpoo hadnt been properly leached, so it smelled horrible after i pasteurized the whole thing. I took the whole pasteurized mix and thew it in an open recycling container and it has been sitting outside in the rain/ sun ever since (about 4-5 months). The container has holes so it didnt retain water. I just re-pasteurized the mix and am getting ready to spawn my jars to it. Any reason to think it might not be the best idea to use it as my sub? I have picked out leaves/ unwanted foliage and the mix has been properly pasteurized. I think ill be good, but I wanted to see if any of yall had any input or information that I may be missing. Thanks all. -------------------- *iskinbash is merely a fictional character placed in a real life environment.
