mycellia growth vs. contam
      04/14/02 12:23 PM

I have a couple dozen jars innoced with 3 different strains quietly incubating in a closet. Did a check and found one that was completely lost to a wet brown contam. There was another jar that had the contam on one side and healthy mycellia growth on the other. Too lazy to throw them away at the time, just left them. Did another check a week later. The half and half jar has been completely taken over by what appears to be healthy mycellia! What could come from this cake? Healthy, happy shrooms or lethal doses of poison? Bear in mind, I am only asking out of curiosity behind the science of growing fungus. No matter what the replies are, I will be trashing this particular cake - "when in doubt, throw it out!"
