Word order is used for emphasis in complex phrases in latin. Certain words are usually followed by another in Latin, and there are still many of the regularities you find in English, like a noun and an adjective side by side, or a preposition followed by its direct object and another adjective. The word order, however, is not needed, and words for emphasis can be placed in between what wouldn't be able to make sense in English, because word order is strict. The sentence would become nonsensical in English.
