Innoculating in the light and my living and growing its entire life in the light are entirely different things. I don't have an opinion on light and dark for myc colonization. I don't know enough about it to say either way. I wasn't even setting out to do a comparison of light vs dark, this is just what happened in the course of establishing my grow. My first grow. I just point that out to stress I don't have a strong opinion or a lot of experience on this. Furthermore, the search function reveals endless debate back and forth. I know. I've looked. And even now I would hesitate to say that the difference in the jars is on account of light - the sample group is too small and accidental to make any reliable conclusions based on that alone. But since it doesn't hurt to be in the dark, I'm personally going to err on the side that at least appears to be doing better. For now.
