Quote: Cool!...I'm looking forward to seeing your "grow" and grows down the line, progress Just my 2 cents on germinating auto seeds. Dunno if anyone else feels or thinks about this the same way I do lol... ...but I'd say germinate auto seeds directly in the pot/soil/substrate they are going to be grown in and don't bother with transplanting. Autos and their tap-root/roots in general seem to be sensitive to space/restriction and many speculate they have an influence on how soon the plant will flower. Most autos seem to transition to flowering around 25 to 30 days after sprouting, but there are many stories/reports of autos becoming "stunted" and flowering sooner when their roots are impacted or restricted in one way or another. No big deal tho...No doubt it is totally possible to germ/pop an auto seed in water then plop it into a pot/soil and have no issues with it stunting or flowering early, I know some folks have even transplanted autos with out issue, but knowing that the tap-root with autos is a bit more sensitive/plays a role in flowering I prefer to just start them directly in the soil/pot that they'll flower in. When I grew them outdoors a few years ago I placed the seed right in the middle of the 20gal pots they were growing up in and that's where it sprouted. All my seeds really, photo or auto, I've always germinated them directly in soil....Many ways to skin a cat tho, and I know lots of folks like to germinate in some water or a moist paper towel before moving the germinated seed into soil/substrate. -OM . -------------------- ![]()
