Not being able to get water out, that's that attitude problem. It's a situation, one with a solution. You get 30+ days of really hot weather, great. Putting up a shade cloth could help a little bit there. What are the rain days like? Can you collect that rain into an underground water storage tank? Can you fill the soil with water retaining stuff like clay or those agriculture polymer gels? It's funny that Openmind mentioned his little experiment, cause that experiment overlaps with another one someone else did; some scientist decided it was a great idea to give his plants a good drought to see what it would do, in a proper scientific setting. Turns out the 10-11 day mark, right when the leaves start drooping, is kind of a universal mark, with only little variations between strains, to how long a plant will go without water after normal proper watering. The thing most interesting about it, is what happened in the buds. The drought (but only after 10/11 days) caused the plants to put out more terpenes. And what's even more interesting, the time when the drought was applied determined which terps' production was enhanced. So by applying droughts willfully you could produce some great tasting cheeba. Not saying that kind of weather is easy to grow in, it's hard as fuck, and it's a lot more likely to fail. What can be done about the time you're growing in? Can you move it up or down? I'm not living in the perfect spot for outdoors either, but that don't mean we can't try! -------------------- The best things in life can be smelled on one's fingers.
