Quote: Just a lil anecdote from what I've seen with the plant.... About 6 years ago I had 2 plants that sprouted from some seeds I pulled out of some SFV-OG I grew the year prior...I forget if the plants turned out to be males or why I didn't want to grow them out all the way, but I stopped watering them one day just to see how long they could go with out water since I wasn't planning on growing them out/flowering em. The 2 plants were in a 25 gallon fabric pot together, the soil/substrate was "roots organics original". The plants received direct sun almost the entire day from sunrise to sunset. Daily temps were around 95F to 105F with humidity around 15% to 25%. Even after a full week of no water the plants were still looking healthy. IIRC around day 9 they started to droop a bit and showing signs of needing water. I think I pulled em' around 10 or 11 days after no water, they were looking sad/droopy but still could have perked back up with a watering. No doubt the strain/genetics play a big role in it all, some strains/genes being more tolerant to heat/drought than others...but in general it seems like the plant is pretty tolerant to drought/heat IME. I've never had a plant become stressed from heat, or at least it never visually displayed any signs of such, even with a week+ of 100F to 110F temps. The summers where I used to live/grow were basically 90f to 100f from mid April to late September, some weeks/heat waves around 105f to 110f, a few days up around 112ish. From what I've seen growing outdoors, the plant can really take a lot of heat & low humidity....tho of course the plants are much happier basking in 80 degree temps versus 100+, they can take the heat with little to no issue. -OM . -------------------- ![]()
