In the Ruby Ridge case the federal sniper murdered a woman holding a child, was convicted and later had the conviction reversed on the basis of sovereign immunity. There is a legal precedent for claiming that government officials have immunity for murder because they are government officials. So it can be rather easy for the Supreme Court to side with Trump, even when it comes to the idea of literally assassinating Senators to prevent a conviction. Given how corrupt the Supreme Court is, the outlook doesn't look good. I don't believe that Roberts is corrupt, but that might make no difference here.
