Well I do have to add, I'd never even feed them a quart at once at this stage, unless the soil really needs it. But usually I water in increments of 200-500 ml per container, and my containers are about 8 quarts. If your containers are 3 gallon or more I'd say a quart is good but it still depends on plant size. 3 days between is indeed my goal. I've been trying my hand at bottom watering with SIP containers and I made the mistake of not valueing the importance of a dark water container so I got a bunch of algae in there and it fucked it all up, but before it fucked it all up I did notice that the plants seem to grow faster when they almost constantly have their feet wet. It's just really important to keep that wet dark, and probably also to not let the wet get stale, so it's still a very tricky balancing act. It's like an intermediate between soil and inert media hydroponics in that it gains the growing speed, but it also gets you a bit of both worlds in terms of things to watch out for.
