Well.... I remember telling another member I fooked up a grow in the past by re-using dirt and amending it. And I also said I thought it would not happen this time because I amended it with some primo nutrient rich compost. Well after a couple of days of the plants looking shittier and shittier, I'm thinking this compost wasn't completely ready after all. Checked the PH levels with a few strips, got a 7 so I dumped some of that vinegar smelling lactobacillus culture in there until it dropped to between 5 and 6. Also added some Final Solution (a nutrient scavenging enzyme product) to help clean up. Really hoping that fixes it. Keeping an eye on it. They're still drinking from the tray but when they finish up their current beverage I'll be doing a flush with the same beverage from the top down and probably discard the water once or twice before it's back to normal. Should fix the issues I'm having, I really really really hope. Not completely sure it's from the compost thing though. Part of me wonders if I kept em wet for too long. Also wonder if my nutes may have risen in pH over time. IIRC that is what happens when nutes age, but maybe I am mixing up the direction of the pH movement. Oh well. We'll see where this goes I guess. Buds for Xmas is not going to happen. Neither for NYE. Good thing I have some distillate on hand. -------------------- The best things in life can be smelled on one's fingers.
