It's just a bit difficult to explain but here I go. I tend to think of mind like a shared field that the ego drifts in the same way the body drifts in the physical field. I don't view these as distinct or one as being primary over the other. I thought maybe they were for a long time and I compartmentalized them. When I stopped doing that, I stopped having breakthroughs and my personal worldview felt more integrated. I still work in spaces I used to think of as breakthrough spaces. But, during that last Ayahuasca breakthrough my understanding was that I was staring into the infiteness of mind as it was constructing phenomological experience. So my view has shifted is all. And beause you can't unsee a thing, the way I relate to the breakthrough space has changed. So, now I'm not going someplace else but someplace deep in my individual phenomlogical consciousness as it is manifesting in that moment, which is by nature interdependant with everything else. See what someone said about familiars earlier. The entities at the most subtle level I've found them are made of literally everything else and are an expression of everything arising at that mind moment. Form is emptiness, emptiness is form. And now I tend to call them mental formations, and use Buddhist names for them when they arise. In my view CG and I are viewing the same experience through different lenses is all. And it can cause friction. Which is why I try to stay out of ontological discussions and do most of my posting in mush cult. My ego does like to argue. But it doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about. But yeah, I don't know that it warranted an apology. I mostly wanted to smooth things over and not let it turn into a debate. -------------------- Listen to the silence behind the engines' noise. Jesus, Sweets, listen. Hear it? It's a love song. For whom? You are loved. ~ David Foster Wallace, Westward the Course of Empire Takes Its Way Edited by tree frog (12/07/23 03:02 PM)
