Quote: Please explain further, but be aware that we are not like computers, and essentially we are always more than one thing at a time - this is the essence of associative mind. Associative mind is every ~1/10th of a second interconnecting changing mental content from every sensation and muscle activation and perception channel AND at the same time evoking memory (the act of perception) on every channel that is similar (on a gestalt level) to the current mental contents (in a way that is illustrated in the program when you click the brainfart in my signature.) This is what is happening in real time, similarities are being reactivated by what we experience. It is a navigation through familiarity. AND besides navigating through familiarity, current mental content shifts to recent mental content in a fraction of a second; which is more easily reactivated providing short term memory effects, which assist in keeping us on topic. SO the illusion produced is that we are busy doing things and operating as a computer, but we are, instead, navigating like a fish. -------------------- _ 🧠_
