alright I did a run of MEA (agar powder) and green food coloring. a few questions is it common to see a lot of white "fuzz" on top because there's more room to expand in minirounds compared to regular plates? I'm also wondering if this yellowing is the myc mixing with the tan-ish powder of the malt extract and agar, as this is happening to most of my dishes. I was curious and opened one up and dragged all of the fuzz, it collected a deep blue and when I was breaking it up I definitely caught a whiff of myc. here are some pics of what I'm talking about suspect fuzz apparent can see the yellowing I'm referring to in the middle there but behind good light this looks pretty healthy. thoughts? edit man uploading really degrades quality of photos. oh well. that's probably my cleanest "plate". all from MS. if I can confirm this I'll use to kickstart some g2g jars how long should I let the plates grow for? -------------------- Edited by banishedfromtime (05/28/19 08:08 PM)
