yeah, i mean, you're probably not going to get all too intricate in a 35 mm dish. the idea of streaking is two fold A: to ensure that you get growth in multiple places that are seperate from one another. this betters your chances of being able to easily transfer away from any contams. B: dilute the spore count as the streak goes on. this limits genetics transferred and greatly speeds up the "thinning of the herd" in the isolation process. the more elaborate streaking patterns are designed to make this happen but any old streak will do it somewhat. --------------------
