Quote: Like the original, but only create one character at the start npc party members are more fleshed out than in OS1 tho also Original Sin 1 was prequel to Divine Divinity (have not personally played it) while Original Sin 2 is the Sequel to Divine Divinity so the time-frame of the two games is pretty far apart definitely solid, well constructed and it is nice to have more playable races than just humans in OS1 most every aspect improves on the original, but there are some outright changes Shields no longer give dodge chance, but Armour and Magic Armour Armour and Magic Armour instead of just being passive damage mitigation now act as mini health bars to be depleted before HP mechanically it is pleasant and adds another layer of tactical depth because some enemies will be heavy into one type of armour but have almost none of the other so bursting down a mage with physical attacks is easier than trying to go toe-to-toe with spells it feels slightly more refined than OS1, and does interesting things in comparison and contrast to OS1 as well probably my favourite game purchase of the last 5 years, if not longer but as a disclaimer, my experience so far is only up to the end of Act 1 it is possible there is some sort of nose-dive in content in further Acts would not personally care at that point, because it makes custom campaigns so easy and the mechanics are pleasant
