Quote: To be honest, kind of dread the day that PvE becomes as interesting as PvP PvP is interesting because the individuals faced in combat think, reason, and respond to my actions the only way PvE content becomes more interesting is through artificial challenge by disproportionately pumping up the stat pools of the mobs so they do more damage or have higher health there is group raid content, but have not personally run it group PvE in MMOs is tough for me not due to difficulty, but because the way to excel at dungeons and raids is to turn them into a routine set of actions and maximize efficiency which drives my OCD crazy and since gaming is more typically harnessed as an escape stressing myself out by enacting OCD tendencies in gaming is probably a bad idea ![]() you are not going to get a real comparable PvE experience in ESO to something like Skyrim as MMOs utilize no difficulty slider, and thus make basic mobs easy enough to be faced by anyone presently the war in Cyrodiil is the most appealing part of the game to me and was also before initially leaving due to their massive server issues but the map has been packed with the event on, and have been facing few lag issues so maybe they finally fixed whatever was fucking up beyond that, the game still holds appeal to me as a lore nut, there are a ton of provinces to visit and all the races and locations have unique cultures which has the bonus of being able to nerd out over Elder Scrolls lore with other PvP players ![]() they have been making efforts recently to make the gameplay more reminiscent of single player titles the first 50 levels have been really sped up, and 51 unlocks the Champion system which is basically assigning perk attributes like the Skyrim star signs also they brought in player housing so saving up 1.3 million gold to buy myself a Mansion outside of Daggerfall and my main crafting character is learning all the furniture blueprints to furnish it afterward then will look into buying the smaller houses in all the other cities which makes it like my tendency to play house in Skyrim but actually have the capacity to invite people over to join me ![]() as an aside from all this, have been tackling the Dark Brotherhood solo PvE stuff recently and absolutely love that they recreated Anvil so well that it feels like revisiting Oblivion they even have the full Chapel of Dibella as a house of the Divines which is great to me, since Oblivion's Knights of the Nine DLC kills all the NPCs inside the Chapel ![]() they seem to have done similar with the Morrowind expansion where starting a new character with Morrowind installed starts the player out getting off a boat at the docks of Seyda Neen really capitalizing on the nostalgia trips but nostalgia trips are why all my characters are in Daggerfall Covenant as an alliance to begin with
