Quote: Yeah right, I read that they debunked the idea of colonizing in dark places means nothing.. they need light but not direct sunlight.. So what i need to do is: Change the environment they are growing in- ie out of storage tub without heat mat.. Place in an area with little air movement but with light (not direct) If i were to follow all these instructions above.. It would lead me to: Not having a heat mat:- temp getting to 17 degrees at night. Would that be a problem? on a shelf in my basement: which would get some warmth (max 25 degrees celc) Could lead to even more contam? So if i were to start again with my jar colonizing (rye grain and pf tek (verm/brf) I would have more luck getting a successfully colonized jar then? So i get my rye jars colonized to about 60%- then shake them around and they start to recolonize after about 24 hrs... but it gets a moist liquid on the bottom1/3 of the jar and turns brown and does not colonize... I was thinking too wet to colonize or contam...
