I'm curious what pasty has to say too!! i think pasty plates are safer around the edges than normal plates, but he uses them way more so i'd trust his judgement. that said, bacteria should not start forming at the edge of regular plates, mold will do that. if u get bacteria on plates, its usually the innoculant. mold can come from the innoculant, but also from bad sterile technique (too much movement in SAB/not flaming blade till red hot). maybe bacteria can sneak in i guess, but its usually a tactile thing, as opposed to a floating in the air/getting thru the parafilm type thing. -------------------- A few thoughts on cultivation MICROBIAL HUSBANDRY!!!!
