Quote: Well it must be that i use less agar in a dish then in a jar i add more. Just with making from spores, I seam to take for ever and i been not sealing my dish, but the transfer to the jar is sealed and i am new to doing agar. And must be dry in my place, I think they're worried that no pour dishes, due the to the GE created by a hole with polyfill / micropore tap, will lose moisture quicker than a regular petri. I have mini rounds right now that are 4 weeks old and the agar is still spread from one side of the container to the other. No sign of contracting. I think when the myelium is actually growing on the agar though it's going to use the moisture in the substrate. I have seen extremely old minirounds with myc on them shrivel up and dry out. The crazy fucking thing is though... When you drop those shriveled rounds into grain jars (LIKE A FUCKING TIGER BTCHES) it rehydrates completely and the myc takes off. -------------------- The Shmuvbox. - The Old TC's Like it ![]()
