I had an idea. As I mentioned before the main problem I have with these pp5 containers is the lack of transparency. I had some old CD-Rs sitting around and noticed the metal flaking off on some of them. The CDs are made of polycarbonate and can withstand PC temperatures. So I tried to get as much of the metal off as I could. It was actually looking pretty good until I got the idea use sandpaper and scuffed up the whole thing. Any ideas for getting this metal layer off without scratching it? Could make a nice little transparent lid from it. The only method I could find is slapping some packing tape over metal side and yanking it off but I can't seem to get all the metal off like that. --------------------
