Psilocybin mushrooms speak to us. Not in the conventional way you or I communicate with one another in casual conversation using language and symbols. They use exopheramones to "speak" to humans using the complex chemical language nature operates on. Their primary alkaloids psilocin and psilocybin which mainstream science classifies as a secondary compound with no biological purpose, gives humans the ability to temporarily exit the boring realm of reality and experience spiritual ecstasy. Now when I say ecstasy I mean not only experiencing multiple emotions simultaniously but coming into contact with the Wholly Other. Mycelium (the root system of the mushroom) is comprised of of a rope like network that resembles neurons in the brain. The way mycelium dominates landmasses and can find the quickest easily accessible route to food indicates some sort of innate intelligence. When humans ingest psilocybin mushrooms we tap into the internal neural like network and converse with the mushroom, earth, and or gaia on a molecular level. This experience our simplistic language cannot describe. In fact it confounds our science, which in comparison to the macro scale of of the interconnectedness of all things is nothing more than an incomprehensible abstract model of the world.
