hey im starting to get some stuff for my car. i finally finshed the engine and performace mods, and now im looking for some sweet audio. I was looking at the Pioneer Premier DEH-P770MP In-Dash reciever, which i would have power my interior speakers, and then i was looking at a Kicker Solo-Baric S12L54 Subwoofer. The only thing is, which amp to go with? i dont really understand the theories with amps with the bridging and ohms, so any help would be appreciated. Im trying to spend less than 1000 for the setup. any reviews on products or suggestions are welcome. thanks again

What you want/need is dependant upon what you plan on listening to. So tell us that first.
As for ohms and briding and whatnot, that can get kind of technical. Basically ohms are the unit of measure for resistance. The lower the ohm the less the resistance. Bridging is not something to get into if you are going to be buying new stuff. It is basically just taking two or more channels from one amp and connecting them together. While this can be fine and dandy you may end up frying an amp. Much better to just buy what you need from the start(if the situation allows).
Kicker is great, but I would also suggest you look into Diamond Audio. And if you have not considered buying your products online, then I highly recommend it. Check out the dealers on eBay that have a lot of good ratings.
Once you get back with what you plan on listening to I'll help you further.

Nothing is wrong with bridging. If you want to save a little bit of money you can always buy a lower wattage amp and bridge it. Just make sure that your sub can handle the bridged resistance or else you'll fry the voice coils.
Also, one thing to keep in mind is that the wattage your amp says is actaully peak performance and you'll probably never get that wattage. Either look in the manual or just divide the max wattage by 2.828 and you'll get the RMS. That's the DC equivalent that your amp will be running steady at. If you need anymore help just PM me or something.
