I would like to get some of the high grade powder and was wondering how much potency would be lost over a period of several month of it not being used. Has anyone experienced any loss of alkaloids during an extended period of non-use? I am asking htis because I can get a good deal on some high grade powder (pulverized leaf) and wouldn't be able to use it for a number of months. I did a search but didn't find anything. I am really interested in this herb and am trying to learn as much as possible about it. Any info would be appreciated.

Over time most anything will begin to lose potency. It's probably not known how quickly potency degrades in kratom, but i'd imagine you can get away with atleast 2 months with neglible difference. Keep it dry and in a bag and in the crisper of your fridge.

That's what I thought. Thanks. I was looking for storing it for a longer period of time. Somewhere along the length of 9 months or more.

What about the resin extract? Would you say that it aslo loses potency as quickly as the leaf/powder? If so, what would be a good way of preserving it and slowing down alkaloid degredation? Freezing?

Storing it because of being caught up in the system. If ya catch my drift. Also. I haven't been able to find anything about about possibilities of Kratom causing fals positives on drug tests. If anyone has any info about this I would really appreciate it.

the main active is 9-methoxy-corynantheidine, an indol. you won't fail a drug test.

Are you sure it wouldn't cause a false positive for something? In doing research I see that soo many things can cause false positives for substances that are in no way related. I just need to be 100% sure.

Pretty sure it won't but don't take my word, I would research more. I don't see how it would, it is not similer to anything tested for.
