My first real grow and I just harvested a bounty! I wish I had a digital camera so I could brag. Many thanks to all of you Mycofreaks and your wonderful ideas/tips/help/inventions/techniques.

I'll be harvesting the second flush an a day or two. Less than a week apart!!! I'll respectfully decline to answer the yeild question. Sorry but it seems, with good reson, that such details need not be discussed.

How many jars of what size went into those casings? I'm about to start the same setup myself as soon as my spores arrive in the mail. You cased, right?

1 pint jars with about a cup of Rye in each as per Magash's Rye tek. About 1.5 of those in each casing. I used the disposable gladware plastic tubs that seem to be pretty popular around here. I really belive that the PMP and RYE combo is the way to go.

How did you heat your PMP? i'm making one with an aquarium heater (just got the geolite today) and am wondering how often I'm gonna have to add water

You shouldnt heat the PMP. That is your fruiting chamber and it should be in the 70s. Your incubator is where you keep the temps between 83 and 86 to let your jars colonise. Do a SEARCH on "PMP"(fruiting chamber) "Tub in tub"(incubator) and "rye tek". You'll find more complete answers there...The search button is in the black bar at the top of you screen

Yeah I know, economics are just limiting me at the moment. I might actually be using the PMP as a jar incubator with a heater (magash says it'd work in the tek), but it isn't complete yet, so we'll see. Maybe I'll have a TnT PMP and mix things up

Huh why avoiding that if people r interested?
Another, how much % of the surface is covered with casings? Since I heared that too much coverage of surface of PMP can get humidity too low... Or did you mist by hand?
