I’m new to this and after a long time my PE fruited. So I have two questions!
1) Does any of this look contaminated to yall? I’m just nervous about it… is there any risk eating it if it was?😬
2) My grow bags where kind of a mess growing in all directions, so is there anyway I can transfer these to a tub with some substrate, or coconoir or something and have a second flush? The Martha tent, humidifier, fogger all seems like I’ve complicated things…
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience guys!!😊

Ya i'm guessing you saw my other posts... First Grats.... it's a GREAT start.
They are most likely safe to eat. If they grow semi normally... Rule of thumb here. If they don't smell, the "infected / bruised" area doesn't rub off/ look like a separate growing thing. they aren't slimy, and i've had no molds growing next to it... THey bruise black/blue that's normal. Also if concerned cut it open and make sure the flesh inside isn't rotting / suspect. It shouldn't look like grey mush being eating from inside out *hard to explain but separate mold growth*.
edit. also. Excess/ constant water on surface of caps/ mush with causes "odd" "slimy" growth. AND OR dry/ Water/drying cycles.... ect

Those look fine to eat. Always use your eyes and nose. Does it smell gross? Is is it visibly slimy or moldy?
Those are just bruised up real well.
As for your cake, stick it in a water tub if it stays in one piece. I wouldn't recommend trying to spawn the cake to bulk after harvesting. I see that end up in contamination quite a bit.

Thank you so much for your reply!!!😁
So I should stick the whole grow bag in water?😬 I’m pretty sure it won’t stay in one piece… there’s a lot of lose dirt/substrate in there… I don’t think I did a great job mixing it up so it may make never fully colonized the bag… I was more worried about handling it too much and contamination… I can’t just transplant it to a sterilized tub with a liner so it “grows better?” A lot of the pins where stuck to the side of the bag crammed up even with a top light… I had to cut the side of one of the bags to even reach them… so many aborts!😵💫😖 I think my two biggest mistakes where not shaking up the bag enough and that I left too many pockets… I didn’t make sure all the substrate was packed in the bottom, if that makes sense… everything was left pretty lose!😬🤷🏽♂️😅
