Mushroom cultivation.

Hi all! I'm new to this website and mushroom cultivation in general. I inoculated this all in one grow bag from mycohaus about 18 days ago with liquid spores, and my searches on the Internet tell me I should be seeing some manner of mycelium by now. Am I simply being impatient? Or is there something wrong? Some of the grains do seem to be breaking open and the condensation on the bag is somewhat concerning. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome! Read this if you're just starting out:

As for what you got going on, yeah I would expect to see growth in 18 days. You injected into the grain, yes?

I did indeed, there was a self healing port over the grain area that I injected into.

I'll avoid the talk about the evils of injecting spores to grain for now.
Specifically about what you got going on: I guess it could be possible (although unlikely) that the myc is growing in the middle and your aren't seeing anything. You could have also just gotten a bunk syringe, which I've definitely heard of but never experienced myself.
You're not doing anything off the wall like, say, storing it in the fridge, yeah?

The spore supplier seemed legit to me, but again I'm pretty new to this lol. And I'm not keeping the bag in the fridge XD but it is in my dark closet.

I've for sure heard that they can be but it seemed like the easiest way to get started with what seems like a super interesting hobby.

I'll be the one to give the spiel then.
Welcome!
Looks like you went spores to grain, which while not great, is how a lot of us got started. There is a fair chance that things aren't gonna work out great with this bag, but hopefully you'll be able to get something out of it.
Possibly what happened was you just shot the spores deep inside the grain and the colonization hasn't worked its' way out yet. 18 days is a while, but depending on temperatures and how far in the spores went, I guess it could be possible. You could try just mixing the grain up a bit to see if you see anything or any growth starts. Avoid mixing into the substrate.
What's also possible however is that the spore syringe was just bad or there is something inside the bag keeping growth from spreading or slowing it down. Hard to say for sure. I would suggest not keeping your hopes up with this bag and starting another project while you wait. There is still a chance of this thing taking off and producing a bunch though.
Ultimately you fell for the marketing like a lot of us did. All in one bags and a spore syringe are quite possibly the worst way to reliably get some mushrooms. Spores to grain is quite contamination prone and buying premade grain and substrate often ends up in unsterilized or improperly hydrated materials.
When you're ready to give it an attempt that has a better shot of working out, I suggest trying PF tek which you don't even need a pressure cooker for. Agar and making your own grain would be where I would go after that, both of which are really easy as well.

I did inject pretty deep, like most of the syringe straight down into the bag. Anyways Thanks for the suggestions! I've been watching some YouTube videos on the subject and came across uncle bens tek, which seemed like a good option as I'm in college and don't have a lot of money to spend on a hobby. I'll definitely look into your suggestions though! Thank you!

I'd rather see you keep shooting sterilized grain up with spores than do uncle bens.
Stay off youtube and reddit unless you want to have a very frustrating time trying to grow mushrooms. Everything you need to successfully grow is right here and there are dozens of people willing to hold your hand every step of the way. Here is a good starting resource.
Good luck.

Thanks for the advice way! Still reading through the guide, but it's very helpful. Gotta be honest, probably still gonna try uncle bins for the hell of it since it's cheap XD. But I'll be buying the proper supplies for a serious grow as soon as I can. Thanks everyone for the help! First steps are usually the hardest.

Way is right, UB would be regression. Even if you don't value your time (my hobby time is worth, uh, like negative money) don't waste it on that trash. You can probably do pf for less than 25$.

Please only eat Uncle Bens. For not much more money you'll have all the stuff for PF Tek and it's all reusable.
