Best music for tripping * 3
    #28548599 - 11/18/23 10:46 PM (2 months, 8 days ago)

The shroomery is full of really cool, creative, and psychedelic people. Surely a lot of us have some good trip playlists. Post some music that is good to listen to while tripping!

Here is one. It's not for everyone perhaps, but I like it. My husband says the intro sounds like that of a porno aahahaaha! but I've heard this one a couple times tripping and it really communicates something special. I want to hear some more good ones, maybe with some good music videos.

Hey Blue Lux, I like this idea.
https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLw1x_9cqfRAKD5PeuVrw-N6T-fiGcweLY

This is by a band called purity ring
The album is called shrines
I was using ayahuasca I’m not sure. But I suspect what you take when you’re tripping. Might affect what you’re listening to.
P.s.
Tell your husband, the shroomery says “hey“

Easily Embarrassed: 4 Years Like Yesterday

Bombay Jayashri - Zara Zara
si=AXaqD21yavH7pQKC
A beautiful song with visuals made by a guy called Craggin Stylie. He uses AI and other wizardry to generate incredible psychedelic visuals, he hardly gets any views and I somehow stumbled onto his channel while tripping a while back. Give this guy some love!

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky - Hymn of the Cherubim
si=T8ZGoCR8KMfUvMTA
Years ago I was tripping hard to Shpongle or something and after the album ended this was in the recommended so I clicked on it because the thumbnail looked cool. I quickly found myself in tears. Very cathartic and spirit lifting.

^ Thumbs up to Web of Life by Man of No Ego. Evokes that "nostalgia for eternity" feeling for me.

On my most recent (and best) trip as a newbie, I can say I really enjoyed the 10 hour "Trip Track 1" that Patreon creator GordoTEK puts up on his channel (which offers free membership).  https://www.patreon.com/posts/27495538

The music was sublime, interesting, rockin' and deep and I loved the intermixing of chanting from various ethnic backgrounds with the occasional reassurance in a child's voice about safety and love to help guide anyone back who is having difficulty in their trip.  The music seemed well suited to the flow and timing of the experience as well as a very positive energy throughout!  Looking forward to my next listen...

I just wanted to say that revisiting music from the 60s and 70s was always fun for me. I remember the first time I heard Jimmy Hendrix's woodstock national anthem was when I was sober and I thought "huh, sounds like a kind of shitty version of the star spangled banner", years later, I decided to listen to it again while tripping on acid and suddenly the whole thing had new meaning. I was able to hear all the nuance between the notes and the sound effects he was creating that just doesn't really come through when you're sober.

Same thing with pink Floyd's Time, the ascending guitar solo just felt like it kept climbing higher and higher.

Anyway. Classic rock from the peak era of acid is truly something to appreciate.

Pink Floyd (Piper At The Gates Of Dawn - Syd Barret Era)

Moody Blues (In Search Of The Lost Chord album & To Our Children's Children's Children album are AMAZING)

Grateful Dead (All of their stuff is amazing while tripping, live shows and all, but for a studio album, Anthem Of The Sun is brilliant)

The Who - Tommy (Album should be listened to in it's entirety, brilliant concept album with meaning rooted in psychedelia)
