Green Contamination?

First grow and things were going good until today. The tub is starting to fruit and then I noticed this spot. Hoping it will continue to fruit and they will be safe to consume. Any insight is appreciated! JMF colonized in rye grain bag to monotub, cased and put into fruiting conditions 7 days ago.

I'm assuming it looks more green in person? Looks like trich, which is the bane of cultivation.
Can you leave the tub outside in a private way? It's only gonna get worse. Fruits from the tub are fine, maybe rinse before drying, but the presence of trich will release a bunch of spores in your work area (some people say not the biggest deal) and will mean shit results in terms of fruit size and stuff. Toss after first flush. Try to get a better flush outside, cut the area out even.
Unfortunately, you cant beat trich with cubensis.

It kinda looks like bruising from poor surface conditions and repeated mistings to me . If it grows in size by tomorrow you'll know it's toast.

Take note of the white mass in the bottom right of the third picture. That's what pre-sporulated trich looks like as it colonizes. Notice how thick it is compared to myc, and how the surrounding area is uncolonized. It can easily be confused for myc by optimistic beginners (I did it, too). Unfortunately, that tub is bad news; the big light green patch will be a solid green carpet in 24-48 hours.
Did you use agar to inoculate the grain?

I used a spore syringe and grain bag. Definitely going to get some agar and start that route, as well as trying out cakes. I used a sterile manure substrate from one of the commercial mushroom companies(I hadn't found this forum yet) but I am going to try again with coco coir and verm. I definitely don't have my sterile techniques down just yet and I know there is a learning curve. I'll be happy with a few viable fruits for my first grow and hopefully keep improving. I did try to cut out a good portion of the substrate that had no pins in an attempt to save the tub but alas.. here is it this morning

Well shit the race is on lol. As they say, spore syringes are inherently dirty so squirting them directly into grain will often do what you're seeing. Definitely look into agar that'll get you straight
