I remember a time when anyone could walk around inside a mall smoking ciggys and cigars.

I saw ZZ top's in El Paso on their first album tour, when they were skinny and had no beards.

I used to smoke cigarettes in the movie theater.
I would talk on the phone with a long cord.
We did not wear seatbelts.
TV turned to off at night
To watch music videos on MTV you had to stay up

Airplane flights had a seat section for smokers.
Music was only available in vinyl records 45 and 33 rpm.
Vinyl discs player was a piece of furniture in the living room.
TV would overheat if you watched it too long (vacuum tubes). We only had b&w TV. Color TV was for the rich people. And the earlier models would emit X-rays.

I remember when my kids were little and we went between Burger King and McDonalds to see who had the best toys. The toys were legit good.

I still remember going with my father to the Moscow exhibition, and i managed to persuaded him to buy me a cup of Pepsi that was a novel thing back then. After taking a sip my first thought was - why would anyone voluntarily drink this thing? But dad made me finish it, because you do not throw away food

I predated the Apple IIe by only 2-3 months, and this computer became the standard computer that I learned on at my elementary school, programming that stupid little triangular "turtle" to draw shapes . I used to stay after class in 5th grade to play video games on it, especially Bomber.

My parents rocked a Leading Edge 286 as our first home PC, complete with dot matrix printer!

I remember Oregon trail in school and our first computer was a Commodore 64. Our monitor was so fancy it could switch between green or amber.

I remember being sent home from school when 9/11 happened. I didn't really understand what was going on and why.

It was 2:00 where I lived and when I woke up and heard about it, I remember being very happy I wasn’t in the Army anymore.
