It reason I call it the expensive tek is because my name is rich. Get it , rich money. And I think I have came up with a extremely cheap and extra easy way to get Spore to colonized jars of health mycelium. Now I have not tried my stupid dumb idea that full works on spore to substrate yet but maybe soon. . I'm already started my 3rd set of trials and 3 without without fail without p.c.. I will post my log of this grow along with a small spot in a pic. Sorry if you cant read my alphanumericly writen sign language. P.c. pressure cooker R.b. rice bag My 4th gogo-gadget,expensive tek mushroom grow I will have more detailed pics to back up my so called claim.

So I pressure cooked my substrate but that is only because I just now acquired a pressure cooker yesterday. My so-called Tek or idea does work but that comes from 6 months of failures at trying to figure out how to overcome the pressure cooker but now that I have one. it's so much easier just to pressure cook it. Although my idea is fairly simple itself it's just better to not have to go this route but if in a pickle.

Damn dude you could have typed that out for us lol! And maybe I'm just high but what exactly IS your tek? Looks like spidey-tek with a bit of homelessness thrown in...

Uncle bens except in a jar. Ditch the rice and grab some grain or wild bird seed. The consistency is terrible and mushy. You need a hard grain not mashed potatoes.
Brown rice flour works for cakes with verm.

I never did like the spidey/Uncle Ben tek. I agree that rice sucks as a grain. Very little nutrition and like you said, mushy as fuck. I'm not saying it won't grow some mushrooms, it's just that with just a little more work you can compound your returns many times and still keep it pretty easy. Using an unmodified tub with coco coir and verm sub and a grain that is not rice yields excellent results.
To OP: I usually suggest people to try an easy bulk tek, but you may want to go with the PF Tek (with BRF), like JHOVA suggested. This will give you a better understanding and increase your skill for the whole process.

So this is the same jar that was contaminated from before just 24 hours later contamination is nearly all gone and clean my city and growth shows all over the jar I guess I should probably take a picture of that and show that too. My tek isn't about starting with a perfect environment but eliminating contaminants if arise basically saving mycelium and I have found a way that works so far without fail three times in a row

And no I'm not going to devoug my idea just yet. I want to start a 4th and if doesn't fail. I will explain everything if I never say anything you guys are just right about me. A complete noob 6 months into the game and have yet to have a successful fruits but because I want a successful fruit I p.c from now on after 4. I understand the limit.s of my Theory but I didn't follow anybody's rules on how you're supposed to go about this and figured it out myself. True i don't know nothing but love mushrooms and live in a place where they're legal to eat growth just don't sell. But like I said I will document better pics of the next and probably final time I try it (own cooker now). But I understand the disbelief but you will see soon I'll probably start my next blue manice Spore I'm thinking end of the month. I have a substrate cooked and ready for a jar. A few more days to show pics as proof

Is that correctly prepped rice? I grew with Rice many times when I first started, it never looked like that.
2 + 2 = fish?
Sorry but am I missing some inside joke here?

Are you trying to cultivate bacterial jars with a little bit of mycelium on top of it? You're wasting your time and money.

Much as I hate to rain on your parade, I think I have to as a service. Most of the time, as far as I know, contamination doesn't just go away. You may not see it after a while but that doesn't mean that the mycelium has won a competition with it and it's all gone. Also, I've prepped rice. It succeeded but then it looked nothing like this. Though it was brown rice to be clear. Your rice looks really wet to me and not in a good way. If you're going to start a tek thread, it helps to have the tek figured out in advance and not be posting pics of what looks like either poorly prepped rice, or just plain bacterial and wet rice.

You don't eliminate contaminants, that's not how this works. You make clean cultures, and start from there. That first jar pic is clearly highly bacterial.
