Spawning slightly bacterial jars to bulk: worth casing with 50/50 at ph 8.5?

My experience with spawning slightly bacterial jars to bulk is the higher risk of mold before first flush.
Might it be worth the extra trouble of preparing 50/50 casing at a high ph of say 8.5 to combat contamination?
I normally case with left over coir and am wondering if a higher ph casing might increase the odds of at least getting a flush...

OK, just a regular coir layer on top then?

No, he is telling you not to bother spawning bacterial jars.

If a jar contams just throw it. I personally have never heard anyone recommending to use it. I've had hidden contam show up during the fruiting cycle which I anticipate when using certain inoculation media like spore syringes. In my experience there will be no viable fruit from that tub even if there is a pin set.
With that being said if you happen to get some clusters pop up on 3/4 of a healthy tub that didn't show the contam aggressively until later in the growth cycle I've allowed those to come to fruition before tossing the tub. Sometimes I'll have contam pop up on part of a tub after the soak for the 2nd flush but I'll still get a partial flush. I do shoeboxes these days which is great at isolating the contam.
There are a lot of people here who would frown on even harvesting from a contaminated tub which I get and only do in very optimal conditions where the fruit is distanced from the bacteria and healthy looking. In no way would I ever try to fruit out a contaminated tub from the get go with fix it soil methods that will not work. Just my ten cents.

focus on making clean spawn vs focusing on trying to fruit bacterial spawn.
learning to hitch your horse to the front of the cart vs the back of it. get it?
which skill would you rather master? making clean spawn? or being able to get some fruits out of shitty spawn?

Good points, I get that making clean spawn is really the crucial aspect in the whole process.
Here's a couple of the jars that I had on hand (the first jar was the worst of the batch).
