i had a bag contam with the green shit and so i put it in the closet to do its thing. came back a month later and its owned most of the green now, looks like its going to take over the rest of it as well.
should i even use this bag though? even if it wins, surely spores will spread if i open?

I have a culture that can beat out mold but I only ever fruited a couple jars that beat a small amount. I never tried with one that had a jar full of mold beforehand. I had good results once and bad results once.

Not wise to keep it around. By far the most common outcome is few to no fruits, and just keeping a source of mold around is bound to harm future endeavors.

Personally would get rid of it, not worth the trouble.

Okay spawn in a tub and see what happens lol. I bet money that when expanded the trich will also expand and there will be no saving it and then boom you have a grow space full of trich. Good luck.

If you like experimenting (yea!) / being right (blech) more than you like growing healthy productive mushroom colonies then definitely, see this experiment through. There's no wrong answer here, depending on where your interests lie.
If you have a serious interest in preserving the viability of your growing environment for future endeavors, assuming what you want to grow is mycelium and not big healthy colonies of trichoderma, then just toss that bidniss homie, pick another hill to die on.

If you don't see anymore green, you can spawn it and probably get fruits.
There is certainly some risk there but if the mycelium has completely overtaken the green, I don't think it's the end of the world. Just keep an eye on it to see how it's growing out in the tub.
Speaking from personal experience, I've had 3 jars so far that have done the same thing, overtaken small amounts of green mold, and I've been able to pull about 1oz dry from each after spawning to a shoebox.
Most people here will tell you to just restart or whatever but if it's all you have for some reason, go for it.
Just because it's green doesn't necessarily mean it's trich either. Obviously, best practice is don't spawn questionable shit but people's individual situations vary quite widely and if you feel like it might be worth it, go for it.

When i began to cultivate, i thought Like you xD "Yeah man i cultivated mold eating Cubensis", Well Spawn IT, you`ll See ITS Just overgrown. Break IT Up and youll See the mold again. Dont even need to Spawn that. Break IT Up and Look for the Trich. Not hard to find. Spawn IT and See what everyone Here saw, Trich is faster.. your Trich is Just Sitting between the Other mycelium and waiting for better conditions.
Extra : better dont Break IT anywhere near ur crops, best is Outside, far away.

I should rephrase my experience. I spawned.2 jars that had overtaken green mold, when spawned there was no evidence of mold whatsoever, I got 2 flushes from those. I spawned 2 more, exact same, no evidence of mold at spawn, got some shitty ramen looking shrooms and green first flush. Having not seen what you're talking about or what you're working with its hard to tell you what to do. Mine was with my extremely aggressive monoculture, I doubt that's what you're working with.

So your aggressive monoculture learned to build Enzyms for eating Trich?! Dunno how, thought they only eat dead Material.

Not sure it was trichoderma. I doubt cubes are capable of that. I said it had some green shit in the jar, then it didn't, then at spawn it still didn't.

I had think like this and just had loose time, just here to confirm what almost everyone saying, you can easily do new jars, stop excusing yourself

the question was quite literal. "what" am i witnessing if not the mycellium dominating and killing the green mold? you guys say green mold is the apocalypse, i am witnessing otherwise, that is why i question.
